While attending college, I was introduced to Mary Kay (my neighbor had the pink cadillac!) and I fell in love with make-up, skin care and helping women look their best. As time went on, I knew that I wanted to be more hands on within the field so I enrolled at the Catherine Hinds Institute of Esthetics of Woburn, graduating with my esthetics license in 2004.Learn more about Kristie-Lee…
Upon graduating, I gained some experience at a few smaller salons until I was hired at a much larger and successful salon here in Worcester. After spending a number of years there, I again advanced my career by opening a salon with a friend which would allow us to provide a better and more personal experience for our clients. Since the beginning of my career I always knew that I wanted to open my own business and it felt like something was missing. I wanted to provide both my clients and employees with a salon environment that they loved being at and felt comfortable in. In May of 2011, I opened Nkd’s first location in downtown Worcester. Thanks to our wonderful clients and our reputation of providing quality services, Nkd has grown into what it is today at its second location at One Kelley Square.
My favorite service at Nkd is, well, all of them! Ok, so my favorites are waxing, lashes and makeup…those are the services I love to do, so that is why I named my business Nkd Waxing, Lashes & Makeup! We also offer skincare, massage, threading, spray tan and hair…those are services that the other girls love to do and obviously works with the original vision. A client can tell when the person working on them loves what they do. And I greatly enjoy getting all those services done to me!
If I could only bring one beauty product on vacation with me…it would probably be lip gloss because I would have gotten my lashes and spray tan on…so there wouldn't be a need for mascara, foundation and bronzer. :)
My Mantra is The Golden Rule: "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you."
I’ve been in the beauty industry since the womb ;) My mom had a salon in our house when I was a toddler and then when she started working at a salon in Worcester, I would frequently go in with her and sit behind the desk and help the receptionist. After completing my Associates Degree, I attended esthetics school in 2004 and have worked in the beauty industry ever since. I love the variety of what I do- I could never sit behind a desk all day or work a 9 to 5. Some days I make people feel amazing doing makeup, some days I get to pamper people with facials and other days I give people gorgeous lashes! The creative atmosphere of Nkd is the best place to foster my love of all things beauty and 12 years later, I still love what I do!Learn more about Crystal…

I love the Micro2 facial. It’s the perfect treatment for my mid 30’s complexion that is sometimes oily and sometimes dry. This treatment addresses all the concerns that I have: clogged pores, dehydration and fine lines. No downtime and immediate, glowing results.

I became an esthetician because I have always been passionate about the beauty and skincare industry. My many years in this profession has made me enjoy being able to help transform and improve a person’s appearance and self-confidence. I also knew that a career in esthetics would allow me to express my artistic side, which drives my desire to make a difference in someone’s life. I am motivated in hearing that someone really appreciates the hard work that I put into every person’s specific needs and wants.Learn more about Tiffany…

I always wanted to “grow up” to be a hairstylist after tagging along with my Mom to her hair appointments as a child. But as I got older, I found I was more passionate about skincare and makeup. So after I got my bachelors in Business Administration, I enrolled in school to become an esthetician. I always knew I would be doing something in the beauty industry. I love making people feel better about themselves and it was very important to me to have a career doing something I love, everyday.Learn more about Caitlin…
Although I do a lot of eyelash extensions, spray tanning has a special place in my heart. I had my very own custom spray tanning business before I was an esthetician, and that’s actually how I met Kristie (the owner of Nkd.) I love spray tanning because having a tan makes you feel great, it’s the better alternative to UVA/UVB tanning and you get your desired results after just 8 hours. I love the boost of confidence I have when I have a spray tan. I also love how quick and customizable the service is.
I love El Patron. The food is amazing and they have the best margaritas!

Being a client of many services at NKD, I began working the front desk part time which made me realize that after many years of uncertainty, I found my niche. I am now a recent graduate of Elizabeth Grady School of Esthetics. I always knew that the greatest gift I have been given was my hands and I have a passion for detail and perfection. Although I am fairly new to the Esthetics field, I have fallen in love with how rewarding it truly is. It's never boring, your always learning and I love working on people. It’s such a fun challenge to be able to work with someone to achieve their skin care goals. You have to take into account their lifestyle, habits, time of year, skin type etc. It’s like putting together a puzzle! I could not be more grateful to begin and build up my career with the entire NKD team!Learn more about Brenna Rinaldo…
